Tibke, Scott Crowned Miss Rodeo Mandan, Princess

Tatyanna Tibke and Faith Scott will serve as ambassadors for the 2017 Mandan Rodeo Days Celebration in their new roles as Miss Rodeo Mandan and Miss Rodeo Mandan Princess. The two were crowned during the Fourth of July professional rodeo in Mandan.

Tibke, 21, is a 2013 honors graduate of Washburn High School and has attended Bismarck State College for business management. She works as a teller at Western Cooperative Credit Union in Dickinson and currently lives in Richardton. Tibke is involved in the Triple R Horse Club, Wing Horse Club, and Richardton Saddle Club. Her parents are Shawn and Rebecca Tibke, Wilton.

Scott, 9, is from Wing where she will be in the third grade this fall. She is involved in Kingdom Kids at New Song Church. She loves animals and would like to be a vet and train horses when she is older. She is a member of the Wing Horse Club and competes in barrel racing, steer riding and has started to rope. She will be the header for her dad this year in team roping. Her parents are Ben and Elisha Scott.

Tibke earned top honors in the appearance category on her way to becoming Miss Rodeo Mandan. The first runner-up and winner in the horsemanship and personality categories in the queen division was Hope Ebel, Zeeland. Amy Landsiedel, Regan, received the congeniality award.

2017pageantIn the princess division, Scott won the horsemanship, personality and appearance categories. Audrey Kihle, Lignite, was named the congeniality winner by the other contestants as well as first runner-up.

Among the many prizes awarded were a queen’s trophy saddle sponsored by Express Yourself Salon and Spa, Mandan, and a princess saddle sponsored by Dakota Sanitation, Bismarck. Trophy buckles were sponsored by Great Plains Technical Services and Joe and Sandi LaDuke, Underwood. Tibke also receives a $1,000 scholarship from the BSC Foundation.

Tibke and Scott will be asked to participate in speaking engagements on behalf of the Mandan Rodeo Committee, to assist at regional rodeos and to teach youth about the sport of rodeo and activities offered during the 2017 Mandan Rodeo Days. Tibke will compete for Miss Rodeo North Dakota in October 2017.
