Xtreme Bulls Tour event scheduled for July 1
The Mandan Rodeo Days Celebration will begin one day earlier this year with a night of bull riding as the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Xtreme Bulls Tour comes to Dakotah Centennial Park.
The competition, which showcases many of the PRCA’s top bull riders, will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 1.
Bull riding is consistently one of the most popular events at our rodeo,” said Mandan Rodeo committee chairman Bruce Schirado. “This celebration has 137 years of history and we are excited to add the Xtreme Bulls Tour. What a great way to kick off this year’s rodeo.”
Money won at Xtreme Bulls events counts toward the PRCA’s world championship standings. Tickets are $20 for ages 6 and up while kids under six are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
Xtreme Bulls in Mandan will feature talented PRCA bull riders and highly regarded bucking bulls from Dakota Rodeo Company’s Chad Berger of Mandan. The Mandan Rodeo Days committee is offering $20,000 prize money for the July 1 event. That, along with contestants’ entry fees, promises a lucrative payday for the winner.
Gates open at 5 p.m. and early arrivals can visit sponsor booths and the western trade show.
