Saturday, July 2

8 a.m.- Slack rodeo competition (timed-event contestant overflow). FREE ADMISSION.
Barrel Racing
Women’s barrel racing is one of the contests during the rodeo’s 
slack competition.

2:30 pm – Remarkable Kids Rodeo

rkr ridingEveryone is invited to attend our first Remarkable Kids Rodeo where up to 30 remarkable children with special needs participate in rodeo events. The event is held in the Mandan Horse and Saddle Club arena just north of the racetrack.

5:00 pm –Mandan Rodeo Trade and Craft Show

Shop our western craft and trade show which includes jewelry, cowboy boots, western apparel, furniture, tack, saddles and more inside the gates at Dacotah Centennial Park. Vendors are open during the rodeo performance.

Sunday, July 3

8:00 am – Queen Pageant Horsemanship Dacotah Centennial Park (FREE and open to the public.)

11:30 am Queen and Princess Luncheon –   Baymont Inn & Suites, $18 in advance; $20 at the door. Watch speeches, modeling, impromptu questions and meet the candidates.

5:00 pmMandan Rodeo Trade and Craft Show – Shop our western craft and trade show which includes jewelry, cowboy boots, western apparel, furniture, tack, saddles and more inside the gates at Dacotah Centennial
Park. Vendors are open during the rodeo performance.

5:00 pm – Free stick horse to first 50 kids for competition in our stick horse race. Stick horses provided by Boot Barn.

5:00 pm – Arrive early at the rodeo and have a chance to be one of 10 chosen to compete for $1,000 in the iHeartMedia “Ropin’ for Riches” just before the rodeo begins.

Wear red, white & blue to support the U.S. military. Live & Silent Auctions plus  Rifle and diamond necklace raffle with proceeds going to K9s For Warriors.

Just before the fireworks, watch a demonstration of the fastest growing western sport – Mounted Shooting.

Just before the fireworks, watch the Tribute to the Six Pack Match Bronc Riding, featuring six champions vying for a winner-take-all $1,000.

7:00 pm – June 29-30 Kaleidoscope Music Variety Show, Mandan High School Auditorium. Comedy, chorus line, choir and pit orchestra and patriotic music all come together for an exceptional family variety show.

9:00 am – 5:00 pm – Custer Home Tours

Relive 1875  at historic Ft. Lincoln State Park. Visit the home of General George and Libby Custer. Tour the commissary (gift shop), granary and troop barracks.

1:00 pm – Fort Lincoln Trolley

A restored trolley car offers a unique trip to Fort Lincoln State Park. Departing from the 3rd St. Station in Mandan thru the scenic Heart River Valley to its station at Fort Lincoln State Park.  A unique experience. Open 1:00 to 5:00 pm daily. For information 663-9018.

Friday, July 1

11:00 a.m. – Starion Financial Bank “Old Fashioned July 4th Picnic” Join us at the Starion Financial Bank parking lot for gold, old-fashioned fun – games, inflatables, face painting, hot dogs and bake sale. The picnic is open to the public.

11:00 a.m. – Mandan Merchants Rodeo Days Celebration Sales  Shop and rope in great bargains and western hospitality at the “Strip” and downtown for savings and fun.

6:30 p.m. – Mandan Eagles “Luck of the Draw Rodeo Days Dart Tournament” All dart players are welcome. Competition starts at 7:00 p,n, $10 fee with 150% payout at Mandan Eagles Club, 1400 Collins Ave.

Saturday, July 2nd

3:00 p.m. – 9 p.m. – Art in the Park Dykshoom Park and Heritage Park are filled with more than 130 art and craft vendors from a 10-state area. From clothing to jewelry, fine art to pottery, woods or floral, it’s all here at this year’s festival. 27 food booths – a culinary delight. Live entertainment tonight – Steve Hamon and Classic Rhythm

7:00 p.m. – All Class Reunion at Heritage Park on Main street (by Art in the Park). Beer gardens, food vendors, class signup sheets. Meet friends and classmates. Hosted by Mandan Eagles Club.

8:00 pm –Official Rodeo Days Dance Lonesome Dove   “on the strip”Music by the band: Southa Bound Saints” “Patio open, food concessions

8:00 pm  – Silver Dollar Bar Rodeo Days Street Dance  – Dance to the music of Dirty Blond, food vendor, beer garden and no cover charge.

7:00-11:00 am –KC Councils Pancake Breakfast Heritage Park (under the big top Tent east of the Depot). Serving a hearty breakfast of pancakes, sausages, coffee and milk                      

9:00 am -9:00 pm –  Art in the Park, Dykshoorn Park and Heritage Park. More than 130 art and craft vendors from a 10-state area. From clothing to jewelry, fine art to pottery, woods or floral, it’s all here at this year’s festival. 27 food booths – a culinary delight. Live entertainment from country music to folk music and more! Check out the daily schedule at the bandshell for times and groups playing. 1:00 pm – 3 pm – Free Covered Wagon Rides  Relive the Old West with a covered wagon ride down Mandan’s Main Street boarding at Art in The Park.

7:30 pm – Exciting baseball rivalry with the Mandan A’s vs Bismarck Reps at 4:30 p.m. and the Mandan Chiefs hosting the Bismarck Governors at 7:30 p.m.   Mandan Legion ball diamonds

6:00 pm –Art in the Park “Doll and Pet Parade”  Dykshoorn Park. Kids, bring your bikes, wagons, dolls and pets for your own special parade. Open to kids up to 11 years of age

8:00 pm –Official Mandan Rodeo Days Dance, Lonesome Dove, On the Strip, music by ”South Bound Saints”.  Beer garden, food concessions, patio open. Meet your friends after the Mandan Rodeo.

8:00 pm – Silver Dollar Bar Rodeo Days Street Dance   Dance to the band “Dirty Blond” food vendors, beer garden – No cover charge.

Monday,  July 4th

6:15 am – 7:30 am –Mandan Rodeo Days Annual Road Race and Walk, 5K run and 5K walk on Main Street. Arrive early for the parade to cheer on the contestants or enter yourself. Pre-register for $35 online or at Art in the Park from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on July 3rd.  Registration is $45 from 6:30 a.m. to7:30 a.m. on day of race at (Mandan Depot) $10 of the registration will be donated to the Bismarck Cancer Center. 10:30 am –Classic Car Parade, View these classic vintage cars along the July 4th parade route

10:45 am – Mandan July 4th Independence Day Parade, Main Street. Theme of the parade: Stars, Stripes and the Sounds of Freedom  Featuring more than 160 units, horses, wagons, marching bands, floats, antique cars and tractors.
