Winners of $333.33 each in the July 3 giveaway were Allen Pfennig, Brenda Diehl, and Joan Hodgson, all of Bismarck. Members of the rodeo audience were selectected to participate in a "Hats & Buns" contest. They had to guess whether a coin toss would result in heads or tails by placing their hands on their own heads or tails. These three prevailed and decided to split the pot rather than go for a winner-take-all. The $1,000 was provided by the Mandan Rodeo.

Arrive early for the nightly rodeo performances to shop among the western arts and crafts booths where tack, jewelry, belts, purses and other boutique items will be sold. Here's is our vendor list:
ADDITIONAL VENDORS WELCOME. For only $50 per performance or $125 for all three rodeo performances, vendors may set up a booth or bring in a small trailer to sell western arts, crafts, jewelry, apparel, rodeo gear, tack or other items of interest to rodeo contestants and fans. Sid McFarland of Montgomery, Alabama, is a retired firefighter turned full-time rodeo clown. McFarland’s latest act featuring an antique firetruck is sure to entertain fans of all ages.
McFarland took up the sport of rodeo nearly 40 years ago, competing in every event as some point in his career, but eventually finding that the thrill of entertaining rodeo audiences was his true calling. For 10 years, Sid lived in Cody, Wyoming, where he worked the famous Cody Nite Rodeo as well as for many rodeo producers.
He moved back to Montgomery, Alabama, in the mid-1980s to serve as a professional firefighter, a career he retired from in 2007. Sid then volunteered for a year's tour of duty in Iraq as a combat firefighter to provide protection for our armed forces.
He has now returned to full-time rodeo clowning. He looks forward to meeting new friends in Mandan!
