WHOOPIN’ IT UP AT MANDAN RODEO DAYS WITH THE RODEO CLOWN REUNION

Rodeo Clown Reunion Coming July 2–4
Get ready for laughs, legends, and larger-than-life personalities as the Rodeo Clown Reunion makes its debut appearance in North Dakota during the 2025 Mandan Rodeo Days, July 2, 3 & 4!
These cowboy-savers and arena entertainers have been thrilling rodeo fans for more than 70 years, and they’re bringing their stories, signature makeup, and classic acts to Mandan for a truly special experience.
From their brightly colored hats to their iconic baggy pants, each clown has a unique look and an even better story. They’ll be mingling with fans, signing autographs, and even performing throwback acts that haven’t been seen in arenas for decades!
A Bit of History
The first Rodeo Clown Reunion was held in 1974, when retired rodeo clown Karl Doering gathered fellow clowns, bullfighters, and barrelmen in his hometown of Roseburg, Oregon. The event was a hit — and since then, reunions have been hosted at top rodeos across the country, including:
Fort Worth, TX
Colorado Springs, CO
Dodge City, KS
Guthrie, OK
Pendleton Round-Up, OR
Santa Fe, NM
Deadwood, SD
Sheridan, WY
Springdale, AR
Castle Rock, CO
Coffeyville, KS
Stephenville, TX
Some of these locations have even hosted the reunion multiple times. But 2025 marks the very first time it will be held in North Dakota!
Don’t Miss the Magic
This isn’t an annual event, and as many of these seasoned performers like to say: “We ain’t getting any younger!”
Clowns will be appearing throughout Mandan Rodeo Days — signing autographs before each performance, riding in the parade, and reviving classic clown acts that’ll bring a smile to your face.
They come from across the U.S. and Canada to reunite, reconnect, and entertain — and while many of them might have never worked together before, they all share a deep love for the rodeo and its fans. Some performed as teenagers, others while putting themselves through college. Each one has a story worth hearing.
So if you’ll be in the Mandan area this Fourth of July, don’t miss this rare chance to meet and celebrate the characters who made rodeo history — one pratfall at a time.
