Mandan Rodeo announces changes to arena seating

Mandan, N.D. — Mandan Rodeo will make updates to Dale Pahlke Arena seating capacity in preparation for the 145th Mandan Rodeo presented by Dakota Community Bank & Trust, July 2-4, 2024.

After exploring many options through ongoing conversations with local architects, the Mandan Rodeo is investing in updating the current seat width size, from 18 in. to 21 in. per seat. Feedback from attendees based on their experience during the first rodeo at the Mandan Rodeo’s new permanent facility was used when determining the addition of  three inches to the current seat width.

“We’re committed to improving the attendee experience for fans at the Mandan Rodeo,” Heather Jacobson-Bauer, Mandan Rodeo Days Committee Chairwoman said. “It was important for the [Rodeo] Committee to continue investing in that experience as we continue to grow each year.”

The change will decrease arena seating capacity by approximately 500 seats per night. Changes to seating capacity were approved in February 2024 by the Mandan Rodeo Days Executive Committee, a 501(c)3 non profit organization.

In 2023, Mandan Rodeo’s July 3 and July 4 PRCA rodeo performances sold out with 4,000 attendees per night. Seating at Dale Pahlke Arena will continue to be all-reserved seating for 2024.

Attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to secure their seats, starting on May 1. Pre-sale tickets will be available starting April 17 for members of the Mandan Rodeo priority list. Rodeo fans can sign up to be a part of the priority list here.

In its first year, Dale Pahlke Arena hosted over 11,000 fans across 4 days including Mandan Rodeo Days' PRCA Rodeo July 2-4 and a concert featuring Chancey Williams on June 30. The facility featured new, covered grandstands and a food truck area for attendees. Facility improvements, including expanded seating and additional space for more food truck options have been made for the 145th Mandan Rodeo Days presented by Dakota Community Bank & Trust, July 2-4, 2024.
