The City of Mandan welcomes thousands of visitors to town each 4th of July to shop, celebrate and enjoy each others’ company. The city is hopping during America’s holiday as they host this event, the Mandan Rodeo Days Celebration and Independence Day Parade.
Originally created to promote area artistic talents and crafts, Art in the Park has evolved into a popular summer event attracting exhibitors and thousands of spectators from all across North Dakota and neighboring states.

Since 1881, on the morning of July 4th, spectators near and far will descend on Mandan, North Dakota to celebrate Independence Day with the areas largest parade. The event will feature pageantry and tradition that includes high-stepping equestrians, spirited marching bands, highly decorated floats and more.

The Mandan Rodeo Days 4th of July Road Race is a long running tradition and is a great way to kickoff Independence Day celebration in Mandan, North Dakota.
Over the decades the race has grown to become a fun activity for family and friends celebrating Independence Day. This is one of the reasons why Mandan Road Races and the Schanandore Family wants to keep this tradition going. The family enjoys hosting the run in Mandan and understands the value it has to this community.
Friday Nights From April-October (weather permitting)
Dacotah Speedway is the only place to be on Friday nights in the Bismarck-Mandan area. The track hosts thrilling IMCA Modified, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sport Compact, and INEX Legends races featuring the Midwest’s most talented drivers, as well as demo derbies, monster trucks, tractor pulls, mud drags, and much more.
