Rodeo Relies on Spectators and Sponsorship Support
Community asked to pre-purchase tickets so Mandan Rodeo may Continue
May 27, 2020 (Mandan, ND) – The Mandan Rodeo Committee has one hurdle to hosting the Mandan Rodeo and they are asking the community for help.
“We’ve overcome a lot of roadblocks to hosting the Mandan Rodeo despite COVID restrictions, ” says Rodeo Chairman Jason Mittlestadt. Referring to capacity limitations, social distancing and disinfecting requirements. “Now, the only thing that we need to ensure its continuation is spectator and sponsorship support.”
The Mandan Rodeo carries high and fixed production costs. In a typical year, those expenses are offset by a combination of sponsorship commitments and admission revenue. This year, capacity restrictions have created financial risks that the group isn’t able to take.
“The only way that this Rodeo will be held, is if we can pre-sell tickets for each night,” Mittlestadt said. “We are optimistic that the community will stand behind behind this historical event,” he added.
The Rodeo Committee is calling on fans to demonstrate their appreciation and support by purchasing tickets online. The committee needs to sell at least 1,000 tickets per night by June 3. “We’re running up against a deadline to confirm whether having the event so professional rodeo competitors may enter the event. It’s now or never for the 2020 Rodeo,” Mittlestadt said.
Rodeo tickets are available online at MandanRodeo.com. Ticket prices are $25 for adults and $10 for children ages 6-12. Children 5 and under are free. All tickets are general admission. Tickets are only refundable in the case of a cancellation for lack of sales by June 3, 2020.
